BattleScrims

Privacy policy

What we store, why we store it, and how to get rid of it. Last updated 22 August 2026.

BattleScrims stores the minimum needed to run a scrim: who you are on Discord, the name and role you play under, your PUBG Mobile UID, which team you are on, and what your team scored. We sell nothing, we run no advertising, and we use no third-party analytics or tracking. You can erase your account yourself from your profile page at any time.

What we collect

From Discord, when you sign in

Sign-in uses Discord OAuth with two permissions: identify, which returns your Discord user ID, username and avatar, and guilds.join, which lets us add you to the BattleScrims server so your team's private channels can exist. We never receive your Discord password, your email address, your direct messages, or a list of the other servers you are in.

From you, when you set up a profile

Every UID and in-game name you have ever submitted is kept in a claim history you cannot edit. This exists for one reason: it is what makes a banned player returning under a fresh Discord account detectable. It is visible to admins, not publicly.

From using the platform

What we deliberately do not collect

No email address, no phone number, no payment details — the platform is free and has no payment path. Your IP address is used in memory to rate-limit abusive request bursts and is never written to the database. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no third-party fonts and no external CDN: every asset on this site is served from this domain.

Cookies

One cookie, holding your signed-in session. It is set when you sign in with Discord, restricted to this site, sent only over HTTPS in production, and expires after 14 days. There are no advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.

What is public

Some of this is public by design, because a scrim platform that hides its results is useless. Your in-game name, role, team, team tag and match results appear on public pages that need no account to read — the schedule, individual scrims, standings and the recruiting board. Your Discord username, your UID, your verification proof and your inbox are not public.

Room IDs and passwords are shown only to teams holding a slot in that scrim, and only after the reveal time. They are never rendered on a public page.

Who else sees it

That is the complete list. We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone else.

How long we keep it

While your account exists, we keep it. When you request deletion from your profile page, every identifying field — Discord ID, username, avatar, in-game name, UID and claim history — is erased immediately.

If your team has recorded scrim results, an anonymous placeholder row remains for 30 days before being removed entirely. This is not a loophole: deleting a row that standings reference would silently rewrite results other teams are competing on. The placeholder holds no personal data, and after 30 days it is gone too. An account with no team and no match history is deleted outright, with no waiting period.

Your rights

You can see what we hold on your profile page, correct your in-game name, role and UID there, remove yourself from the free agent list, unlink your UID, and delete your account entirely — all without asking anyone. For anything the interface does not cover, including a copy of your data or a question about this policy, ask on the BattleScrims Discord server.

Children

BattleScrims requires a Discord account, and Discord's own terms set a minimum age of 13, or higher where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age. If you believe a younger player has an account, tell an admin on Discord and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the update will be announced on the Discord server rather than made quietly. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy. See also the terms of use.
