Frequently asked questions
Short answers about scrims, teams, room codes, verification and standings.
Everything below answers one question on its own. If yours is not here, ask on the Discord server — the answer usually ends up on this page afterwards. For longer explanations, see what PUBG Mobile scrims are, how BattleScrims works, and the rules and point system.
- What is a scrim in PUBG Mobile?
- A scrim is a practice match between organised PUBG Mobile teams, played in a private custom room rather than public matchmaking. Teams register for a slot in advance, receive a room ID and password before the match, and play under tournament point rules, so results are comparable across matches.
- Does BattleScrims cost anything?
- No. BattleScrims is free to use. There is no entry fee, no subscription and no paid tier. You need a Discord account, a PUBG Mobile account and a team of four players. Reading the scrim schedule, results and recruiting board requires no account at all.
- Do I need a Discord account to play scrims?
- Yes. Sign-in is through Discord, and room IDs and passwords are delivered there, so an account is required to register for a scrim. Discord is also where each team gets its private text and voice channels. You can browse the public schedule and standings without signing in.
- How many players do I need for a PUBG Mobile scrim?
- Four. Competitive PUBG Mobile is played as four-player squads, and a team needs four starters before it can claim a scrim slot. A roster can also carry up to two substitutes, giving six players in total, so a missing starter does not cost you the slot.
- How do I find a PUBG Mobile team?
- Use the recruiting board, which lists teams with open slots and the roles they need, or mark yourself as looking for a team so captains browsing for your role can find you. Both are free and need only a Discord sign-in. Applications and invitations arrive in your inbox.
- How do I get the room ID and password?
- Room details stay hidden until a reveal time the admin sets, usually a few minutes before the scrim starts, then go to registered teams only. They appear on the scrim page for your team and are delivered on Discord as well, so nobody has to sit refreshing a page.
- How are scrim standings scored?
- On the standard PUBG Esports table: 10 points for first place, 6 for second, 5 for third, 4 for fourth, 3 for fifth, 2 for sixth, 1 each for seventh and eighth, and 1 point per elimination. Ninth and below score no placement points. Totals accumulate across the session.
- What happens if two teams finish on the same points?
- Ties are broken on total kills first, then on best single placement. A team with the same points but more eliminations across the session ranks higher; if kills are also level, the team with the better finish in any one match takes the position.
- Why do I need to verify my PUBG Mobile UID?
- Verification confirms the account you play on belongs to you. Krafton publishes no developer API for PUBG Mobile, so UIDs cannot be checked automatically - you submit yours with a proof link and an admin confirms it. It stops account sharing and makes a banned player returning on a new account visible.
- Can I register for a scrim after it has started?
- No. Registration closes the moment a scrim starts, and a scrim that has gone live cannot be joined. Slots are first come, first served until the lobby is full, so claim one early. If your plans change you can withdraw at any point before the start.
- What happens if my team cannot make it?
- Withdraw before the scrim starts, and the slot returns to the pool immediately for another team. A registered team that simply never joins the room is recorded as a no-show, which leaves a dead slot in the lobby. Repeated no-shows are grounds for losing access.
- How many teams play in one scrim lobby?
- A standard lobby holds 25 squads of four, which is 100 players in one custom room. Larger scrims run several lobbies in parallel and split teams between them. Registration fills the first lobby completely before opening the next, so early registration keeps a team together.
- Can I be on more than one team?
- No. A player belongs to one team at a time, and a team can hold only one slot in a scrim. Leave your current team before joining another. This is what keeps rosters honest - a lobby where the same player appears in two squads cannot be scored fairly.
- What gets a player or team banned?
- Cheating, account sharing, teaming with another squad, result manipulation, sharing room credentials, and harassment. Admins can ban an individual player or a whole team, with the reason recorded. Because every UID a player has claimed is kept on file, returning on a new Discord account is detected rather than quietly allowed.
- Is BattleScrims affiliated with KRAFTON or PUBG MOBILE?
- No. BattleScrims is an independent community platform, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by KRAFTON, Inc., PUBG Corporation, Level Infinite or Discord Inc. PUBG and PUBG MOBILE are trademarks of their respective owners. Scrims run here are community practice matches, not official competition.
- Can I delete my BattleScrims account?
- Yes, from your profile page at any time. Your Discord identity, in-game name, avatar and UID are erased straight away. If your team has recorded scrim results, an anonymous placeholder keeps those standings intact for 30 days before the record is removed entirely.
